Meet Raphaël Côté, MSW, RSW

I became a therapist because I've seen what happens when men don't get support.

I've watched people I care about carry weight they didn't have to carry — staying silent, staying strong, until something broke. I didn't want to be someone who stood by while that happened to others.

So I built a practice around the work I believe matters most: helping men and couples who are ready to do things differently.

Why I do this work

For a long time, therapy felt inaccessible to the people who needed it most.

Too formal. Too clinical. Too far removed from the real weight that men and couples were carrying.

I do this work because I believe that changes when therapy feels like a real conversation — direct, warm, and focused on what actually matters to you.

My approach isn't about fitting you into a method. It's about understanding what's driving what you're experiencing, and building a path forward that actually fits your life.

Who I work best with

My clients are mostly men and couples — often high-functioning people who are good at managing the surface but know something underneath isn't working.

They're not in crisis. They're just tired. Tired of the same arguments. Tired of feeling disconnected from their partner or themselves. Tired of knowing they should feel grateful for their life while something still feels off.

Many of my individual clients are Black men who haven't always felt seen or understood in traditional therapy settings. I built this practice to change that.

If any of that sounds familiar, you're probably in the right place.

A bit more about me

Outside of sessions, I'm someone who lives by the same values I bring into the room.

I train regularly — fitness has always been how I process, reset, and stay grounded. I travel as much as I can, because getting outside of familiar environments has a way of showing you things about yourself that you can't see from home.

I tell you this because I think it matters who you're working with — not just their credentials, but how they actually live. I'm not someone who sits in a chair theorising about a life I don't live. I work at the same things I help my clients work on.

If something on this page resonated — trust that.

The first step is a free 15-minute call. We'll talk about what's going on,

I'll answer any questions you have, and we'll see if it feels right.

No pressure. No commitment.
